Holy Cow, we have our very own "Rock Star" at Fossil Ridge!!  Congratulations to Fossil Ridge's very own Mrs. Guisinger for not just completing the St. George Marathon, 

but running a personal best time of 2 Hours and 57 seconds! Another example of the

"Fossil Ridge Reads" Week was a huge success, our students are reading at an amazing

rate, with some Language Arts classes reporting 100% student completion of at home

"free reading" for the week...EXCELLENT! This past week students participated in a

"Fossil Ridge Reads" poster contest, continued competition between 6th and 7th Grades, 

and visits from several Dixie State University Athletes. Special thanks goes out to 

Mrs. Wiese, Ms. Gubler the Fossil Ridge PTA, and Dixie State University.  

It was truly a GREAT WEEK TO BE A T-REX!

FOSSIL RIDGE INTERMEDIATE SPOTLIGHT
Last week Language Arts Teacher Mrs. Sewell announced the Faculty Winners
for the 1st Annual Fossil Ridge Faculty Poetry Contest. The purpose of the 
"Everyone is a Writer" contest was to inspire our students to enjoy and feel 
confident about the writing process.  Over 30 Faculty and Staff members
participated in the Poetry Contest.  Two of the Faculty Winners were
Mrs. Teresa Bosen (Theater) and Mrs. Leisha Eardley (Math). Thank You to 
Mrs. Sewell for a fun and valuable poetry experience! 

Mrs. Gubler's Art Students were provided with a special treat last Wednesday

when artists from the Springville Art Museum spent the day with each of her

class periods. Mrs. Gubler continues to provide the students of Fossil Ridge

with incredible opportunities!

'ITS A GREAT DAY TO BE A T-REX"...
We need to recognize our Front Office Staff for their hard work getting
ALL 980 students registered and ready for the 2016-2017 school year.  
Very few people witness and understand the effort, diligence, and 
patience shown by Mrs. Kathy, Mrs. Debbie, and Ms Sandra...from all
of us at Fossil Ridge Intermediate, THANK YOU!! We couldn't make
it without you!!

Another special thank you goes out to our fabulous Custodial Staff under
the direction of Jose Castro. Our school building is spotless, and although 
it is now 12 years old, it shines as if it were brand new! The cleanliness and 
beauty of our building adds to the positive experience that our students have
while attending Fossil Ridge...THANK YOU to the best Custodians around!!

We want to extend the warmest of welcomes to our returning students, our 
new students, and our new faculty members. It is our purpose to Ensure
that ALL Students at Fossil Ridge are Learning at High Levels and are 
provided with opportunities and experiences necessary to achieve success!
We look forward to a successful 2016-2017 school year and look forward
