Fossil Ridge Faculty & Student Spotlight
What a great first week back to school! Our Faculty, Staff
and Students all returned ready to go to work and begin
the 2nd half of the school year with a bang! Students
finished Registration for REACH Extension Offerings for
the next session of REACH on Friday. Our Teacher Teams
are not only providing valuable extension opportunities for
our students, but are ensuring that students who require
additional help are provided with necessary time throughout
the week, even on "non-priority" days. Our Teacher Teams
sincerely believe that ALL the students of Fossil Ridge
can/will learn at high levels and as a result work tirelessly
to guarantee that each one of our students is afforded
the necessary resources, time, and opportunities to
demonstrate learning... our Faculty and Staff is committed
to do "whatever it takes"!
This past Saturday our Fossil Ridge Robotics Teams/Students
participated in a Regional Lego-League Robotics Competition,
held at Dixie State University.  Fossil Ridge had four teams who
competed...Blue Dragons, Fossil Bots, Robo Rex 2.0 and
Birds of Paradise. Each of the four teams presented and defended
a project and competed in 3 different rounds of Lego Robotics.
Teams earned points for the presentation items and the actual
robotics.  Two of the Fossil Ridge Robotics Teams finished in
the top 15... the Birds of Paradise (*State Qualifier*) and the
Fossil Bots. Congratulations to each team and all of the students
who participated and shared their learning on Saturday, and a
special Thank You to Mr. Stewart, Mrs. Emett, and the many
supportive parents who coached-up and cheered on our students!

Fossil Ridge Intermediate Spotlight
Recently Fossil Ridge was named a "Solution Tree Model School.
There are only 7 such schools in the entire State of Utah and
only 207 such schools across the entire nation! This honor has
also allowed Fossil Ridge to apply for the Solution Tree
"DuFour Award", recognizing the top PLC in the United States
and Canada. This is great recognition for our students, faculty,
staff, and Fossil Ridge.  Below I have included two items that
were submitted as part of the application process.

"We Are Fossil Ridge" --Background Information about Fossil Ridge and
Evidence of maintaining an effective PLC Climate.

"All Things PLC Model School Info" --PLC Model School Demographics,
